From Struggle to Stage: A Journey of Purpose, Leadership, and Belonging

There are moments in life that feel almost surreal — the kind where you pause, look around, and quietly ask yourself, “How did I get here?”

For me, that moment came at the World HRD Congress 2026 in Mumbai, standing on stage at Taj Lands End, speaking on a subject deeply close to my heart: “The Importance of Mental Health & Wellness as a Critical Part of Workplace Belonging.”

As I shared my 3 Ps Framework with a room full of global leaders, I wasn’t just presenting a concept. I was carrying every challenge, every doubt, and every hard-earned lesson that shaped my journey.

More Than an Award — A Reflection of the Journey

Workplaces today are evolving fast, but not always consciously. We talk about performance, productivity, and profits.

But behind every metric is a human being navigating pressure, expectations, and often, silent struggles.

Mental health and workplace belonging are no longer “nice-to-haves.”
They are foundational.

When people feel seen, supported, and psychologically safe:

  • They lead with confidence

  • They collaborate better

  • They stay longer

  • They grow stronger

This is exactly why frameworks like the 3 Ps matter — they bring structure to something deeply human.

Because belonging isn’t built through policies. It’s built through consistent, intentional leadership.

The Reality Behind the Milestones

Let’s not romanticise the journey.

Building something meaningful while:

  • Raising a child

  • Continuing to study

  • Managing responsibilities that don’t pause

…is not easy.

Some days, it feels overwhelming.
Some days, it feels impossible.

And yet — somehow — it moves forward.

That’s the truth many women live every single day.

Not perfectly.
Not effortlessly.
But powerfully.

A Dedication to Women Who Keep Showing Up

As International Women’s Day approaches, this moment becomes even more meaningful.

This is for:

  • The women who were told they weren’t enough

  • The women who had to work twice as hard to be seen

  • The women balancing careers, families, and personal dreams

  • The women quietly rewriting what leadership looks like

This is for the ones who didn’t quit — even when it would have been easier to.

This is for us.

Redefining Success — One Life at a Time

At the end of the day, success isn’t about standing on a stage.

It’s about what happens after you step off it.

It’s in:

  • The leaders you help shape

  • The confidence you help build

  • The lives you help transform

Because when one person grows, they impact many more.

And that’s how real change happens.

Final Thought

Sometimes, we get so caught up chasing the next milestone that we forget to pause and acknowledge how far we’ve come.

If you’re in the middle of your journey — juggling roles, pushing boundaries, and figuring things out as you go — this is your reminder:

You don’t have to have it all perfectly together.

You just have to keep going.

And that, in itself, is something worth celebrating.
